Hallowe'en
Wishing you all a very scary (scary in a safe way, of course) Halloween!
No, I am not crazy enough to give homemade caramels to the trick-or-treaters. These are for my coworkers. The trick-or-treaters will get mass produced, individually wrapped gobs of sugar and chocolate that have never been touched by human hands. It's sad, really. Here's a thought: anyone who shows up on my doorstep tonight and yells "merino!" instead of "trick or treat!" should get a caramel. If I have any left, that is.
Happy Halloween! It is sad that you can't give out handmade candies. I remember when getting a homemade candy apple was a real treat on Halloween.
ReplyDeletehomemade caramels? *swoon* happy halloween!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad I don't live close enough :(
ReplyDeleteHere I was thinking I had posted this comment to a different blog! I guess I do sort of live close enough.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! Those caramel looks yummy. Halloween is not widely celebrated in Australia.
ReplyDeleteMerino! Merino! Merino! [That's me: a day late and a caramel short!]
ReplyDeleteOoooohhh!!!! Those ARE a treat!
ReplyDeleteDrats. When I first saw this, I thought of running over to Trick or Treat at your house. Your caramels are exquisite! Slightly comforted to know it wouldn't have done me any good. A day late: Merino! Merino! Trick or Merino?
ReplyDeleteyou weren't home when we came by. :( Oh well maybe next year.
ReplyDeleteI wish I'd come to your house! The caramel would have been great, but I think I would have kept saying "Merino!" until you gave me merino! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat Lynn said - Merino! I'm sure the caramels are long gone by now, though!
ReplyDeletehanks for the encouragement & comments....
ReplyDeleteHalloween not as big here but growing every year... you'd think it be very big here seeing I Live in Lancashire home to the Pendle witches...
