It's all for a good cause, though.

Wow, your hair was so long! The new do looks good. And I like the sweater you are wearing.

Wow! your hair was so long! it's always exciting to have a fresh hair cut for summer! Didn't your head feel light as a feather after they cut it off? I love that feeling.

Wow, that's a drastic change! I hope you love it. I always get a strange "phantom hair" sensation the first couple times I wash my hair after a major cut.

It looks cute!

Don't get me wrong, I love the new do--but when these changes come, as they do every year or two, I pine for the long hair. It is a failing of mine. I love long hair. That said, the hair goes to a good cause (Locks of Love): I should not be so selfish! My wife's beautiful hair is matched only by each of her many other attributes--to numerous to mention.

On related topic, it is with a sad heart that I report that my afore mentioned wife has left me--to attend a fiber festival. I feel so...cast off, needleless, unwoven.

You're so good to do that! Are you liking the new do? I'm in my 50's and still have long hair. I have never been able to come to terms with short hair -- on me that is. Guess it's the old hippie in me ;-).
I just found your blog linked to from another and notice you're in the Metroplex area. I live about 60 miles east of Dallas and we have NO place to shop for yarn here, so I order a lot online. I also return a lot -- the colors just don't always look the same in person, do they? Anyhoo, do you know of a good, no great, yarn shop in the Dallas area? I'm thinking about making a trip into the city next week and would love your advice on where to find good 'stuff'.
Thanks!
