Saturday night on my own
The Professor is out of town, so I'm left to entertain myself. I think I've covered all the necessities.
- Knitting: check. I should finish the first panel of my Print O' The Wave tonight.
- Tasty beverage: check. The drink of choice this evening is tawny port. Apparently I was an old British guy in a former life, because I do like my fortified wines.
- Entertainment: check. Oh yes, Mr. Darcy!

Sounds like my kinda night!
Micki, I have a favor to ask. Can you weigh your print o the wave stole before knitting on the border, and after. I'm trying to get a semi-accurate idea of yarn usage in the center vs. the border. I'll send home my scale with you on the appropriate Tuesday if you like. Looks like it's really coming along nicely.
What a wonderful evening! I'm a fan of port, too. Mmm... Colin Firth.
Your print o the wave is looking beautiful.
Mmmm, perfect evening. (Sorry, Mr. Prof, but you are completely superfluous to a perfect evening! ;)
BTW, I study classics AND like port. I was definitely an "old British guy" in a former life. But I probably didn't go fox hunting. :-)
Can you believe that I love wine, but that I've never tried port? Any recommendations for a first-timer?
Looks like a wonderful evening!
Boy do you know how to have a good night in! Made me check the calendar to see DH's next night OUT. And I'd go for Mr. Darcy too, any time. The way he scowls and plunges into the lake... Hope you didn't drop any stitches during that bit!
